The sudden and unexpected death of Cpl. Ronald J. Francis of Kingsclear First Nation passed away on October 6, 2014 at the age of 43. Born in Ottawa ON, he was the son of Robert and Pauline (Madore) Francis.
Ron was a proud, loving and caring son, father, brother and friend. He was compassionate, very creative, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, he was well respected by his fellow coworkers. Ron graduated from Depot on April 17, 1994 and spent 22 courageous years with the RCMP. He was a role model to his children and to many members of his community.
He will be deeply missed by his children; Jacob Francis, Emma Francis, Alex Thompson and Kristen Thompson, one brother; Allan Francis,one sister; Lisa Marie Francis
companion; Trinda Paul, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother; Darren James Francis, paternal grandparents Gregory and Margaret Helena Francis, maternal grandfather Yvon Joseph Madore.

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday October 9, 2014 from 5-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday October 10 at 11 AM from St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Monte Peters and Curtis Sappier officiating. At the request of the family, Interment to follow in the Ste. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery, Kingsclear First Nation.
At the request of the family Red Surge will only be worn by Corporal Ron Francis and no other member of the RCMP during the memorial service.
A reception will be held in his home community at the Kingsclear Training Center at 1 PM.
